BARBIER Georges

(1882 – 1962)

French painter and fashion illustrator, he worked with the Gazette du Bon Ton, the Journal des Dames et des Modes, Feuillets d’arts, Vogue, Femina, modes et manières, Falbalas & fanfluches.
He designed posters and stands out as one of the most emblematic figures of the Art Deco period. Barbier has had a strong influence on the art deco style and his work is synonymous with sophistication, elegance and feminization.
