MARTIN Charles

(1884 – 1934)

French draftsman.

Like Georges Lepape and Georges Barbier he participated in the Art Deco period. He worked for the major fashion magazines of his time such as Harper’s Bazaar – Vogue – Femina – Gazette du Bon Ton – Modes & Manières d’aujourd’hui. He illustrated books such as “sports and entertainment” with Eric Satie. He also collaborated to the French printing company’s brochure with Jean Cocteau.
