Fernand Mourlot is a master lithographer, born in Paris on April 5, 1895 and died on December 4, 1981 in the same city.
Mourlot collaborated closely with the greatest artists of our time who frequented his studio, figure: Matisse, Fautrier, Dubuffet, Picasso, Buffet, Miro, Chagall, Braque, Giacometti, Calder, Raoul Dufy, Marcel Chassard, Roland Bierge, Saul Steinberg, Paul Jenkins, Utrillo, Van Dongen, Vlaminck, Maurice Estève, Roberto Matta, Pierre Alechinsky, Cottavoz…

He had friendships with the poets and writers of our time like Aragon, Éluard, Jacques Prévert, Colette, Jean Paulhan, Francis Ponge…

Fernand Mourlot collaborated with the publisher Tériade for the magazine Verve, for which he printed many covers and original lithographs, in particular the two volumes of the Chagall Bible.
